Golf cart GPS trackers vs fleet platforms
A golf cart GPS tracker such as Hapn or LandAirSea is a small device and an app that show where a cart is and alert you when it leaves an area or is moved. A fleet platform such as Axons Mobility runs the whole fleet: keyless rentals, payments, zones, battery and health for every cart, repairs and a branded rider app, on the devices already on your carts. Tracker facts come from each maker's own pages, read on 19 October 2026.

Golf cart GPS tracking questions
Do I need a golf cart GPS tracker or fleet management software?
A GPS tracker answers "where is my cart?" and alerts you when it leaves an area or is moved. Fleet management software runs the fleet: keyless rentals and payments, zones, battery and health for every cart, repairs and a branded rider app. If you own a few carts and want theft alerts, a tracker may be enough. If you rent carts, run a resort or course fleet, or sell carts as a dealer, you need a fleet platform.
Can a GPS tracker unlock golf carts for rentals?
Only if the device can lock and unlock the cart. The Hapn and LandAirSea golf cart pages do not mention lock or unlock (checked 19 October 2026). Axons Mobility unlocks carts by app or NFC key card through devices that take lock and unlock commands.
Does Axons Mobility sell GPS trackers?
No. Axons Mobility sells no hardware. It works with the GPS and telematics devices already on your carts, any brand, if the device shares location, battery and lock status and takes lock and unlock commands, and supports Blync Pulse from Blync Labs for classic carts.
Can a fleet platform show golf cart battery levels?
Axons Mobility shows every cart's charge on the live map, read correctly for 48 V carts, takes carts with a flat battery off the rental map until they are charged, and adds pack health, cycles and temperature for lithium packs that report their own data.
What do dealers, resorts and golf courses get from a fleet platform?
Dealers get connected carts to sell under their own brand and a revenue share. Resorts get keyless guest rentals with payments in their own app. Golf courses get no-go zones for greens and restricted areas, battery checks before the first tee time and theft alerts. All of them get a health score for every cart and answers in Claude or ChatGPT through MCP.
