Resort golf cart rental software: keyless carts for your guests

Axons Mobility runs resort golf cart rental for hotels, resorts, holiday parks, gated communities and marinas, on a private fleet only your invited guests can use. Guests scan a QR code in your own branded app, or tap a key card where the cart's device has a card reader, and your staff see every cart on a live GPS map. Try it free for 15 days on your own carts, then go live with guests in as little as 3 weeks.

Built for places guests get around by cart

  • Resorts and hotels

Carts between villas, pools, the beach and restaurants

  • Holiday and RV parks

Carts for campers, with zones at the park's edge

  • Gated communities

Carts for residents and their visitors

  • Marinas

Carts between berths, the clubhouse and the car park

Why resorts and hotels move to keyless golf carts

Keys at the front desk get lost, copied and left in carts. Keyless carts let guests ride when they want, while your staff stay in control.

No keys at the front desk

Nothing to hand out, chase at check-out or replace. Guests start a cart with their phone or a key card.

No waiting for a buggy run

Guests take a cart when they want one, instead of calling reception and waiting for a driver.

Only your guests can ride

Carts sit on a private fleet that only the guests and residents you invite can use.

Carts stay on the property

Zones warn a guest who drives off the property, and every breach is recorded.

Every cart on one map

Staff see where each cart is and its battery, and can lock one from the map where its device allows.

Damage questions answered

Each rental keeps its route, a parking photo and how the cart was driven, so you talk about facts.

How a guest golf cart rental works

From check-in to the last ride, in four steps. Guests use your own app, in 8 languages, or a key card.

See the Rider App
  1. Invited at check-in

Staff add guests to your private fleet, one at a time or in bulk, with starting credit if you like.

  2. Scan or tap to start

The guest scans the cart's QR code in your app, types its code, or taps a key card on carts with a reader.

  3. Ride around the property

A banner asks guests to slow down near the pool, and a warning comes at the property's edge.

  4. Park and get a receipt

The app shows the nearest parking zone, asks for a photo if you require one and gives an itemised receipt.

Keep carts on your property and charged

Draw 5 kinds of zone on your map. Zones warn guests and record every breach, and parking and charging zones keep carts where staff expect them.

A service area around the grounds

Guests are warned the moment they drive off the property, and each breach is saved for replay.

No-go zones

Mark the beach, spa gardens, public roads or service yards. A guest who enters one is warned.

Slow zones near the pool

A speed-limit banner reminds guests to slow down by the pool, the lobby and the kids' club.

Parking at the lobby and beach

Guests see the nearest parking zone before they end a rental, so carts wait where the next guest looks.

Charging zones, true battery

Mark where carts charge. Battery shows as voltage, percent or bars, so a 48 V pack reads true.

Forgotten rentals end themselves

Set an idle time per cart type. A cart left standing ends its rental, so it is free for the next guest.

Free for guests, or charged by the hour or the day

Choose for each fleet. Rides can be part of the stay, or paid in your app by card or wallet, straight into your own Stripe account.

Free rides for guests

Make rides free on a guest fleet, so the carts are simply part of the stay.

Hourly or per-minute

Charge by the minute or the hour, with prices by time of day and a price cap per rental.

Day and week passes

Sell a pass that covers a guest's stay. It applies on its own each time they start a cart.

Starting credit at check-in

Invite guests with credit already in their wallet, so their first rides cost them nothing.

Families ride together

One guest unlocks up to 3 carts for family or friends, and each rental is billed on its own.

Refundable deposits

Take a deposit before a guest's first rental if you want one. It is charged, then refunded.

Answer damage questions and keep every cart working

When a cart comes back scratched, you have the route, the photo and how it was driven. When one needs work, it becomes a job.

Ride Replay

Replay any rental on the map, with harsh braking, speeding and zone breaches marked where they happened.

Parking photo at the end

Ask guests for a photo when they park, where you require one, and keep it with the rental.

Receipt with the route

Guests get an in-app receipt with a route map and each charge, so nothing on it surprises them.

Health score per cart

A health score for every cart in Fleet Intelligence, with alerts that become pre-filled work orders.

Work orders with parts

Repairs with a quality check, and parts taken from stock as technicians use them.

Tow, crash and fall alerts

Where the cart's device reports it, you get an alert when a locked cart moves, falls over or crashes.

Several properties in one console, each team on its own fleet

Each resort, hotel or park runs as its own fleet, with its own prices and zones, and your staff see only the carts they look after.

  • A separate fleet for each property
  • Staff limited to their own property's fleet
  • Staff carts kept apart from guest carts, with their own rules
  • A low-battery level and idle time for each cart type
  • A console in 6 languages for your team

One way to set it up

  • Main resort · guest carts

Free for guests, parking at the lobby and the beach

  • Main resort · staff carts

Housekeeping and maintenance, for your team only

  • Second property · guest carts

Its own day pass, zones and staff

Use the devices already on your carts

No new hardware to buy. If the device on a cart shares location, battery and lock status and takes lock and unlock commands, our team connects it to Axons Mobility.

  • Keep the connected device on your carts, from any maker
  • Key cards work where the cart's device has a card reader
  • Remote ignition and crash reports work where the device supports them
  • Carts with different devices run in one fleet, on one live map

Will your carts work?

Send us the make and model of the device on your carts. We tell you what it can do in Axons Mobility before you start.

What is resort golf cart rental?

Resort golf cart rental is when a resort, hotel or holiday park lends or rents golf carts to its guests so they can get around the property. With software such as Axons Mobility, guests start a cart with an app or a key card instead of a key, and staff see every cart on a live map. The resort decides who can ride, where carts may go and whether rides are free or paid.

Can guests use a golf cart without an app?

Yes, on carts whose device has a card reader. You enrol a key card by tapping it on the reader, choose if it opens one cart or all of them, and a tap starts or ends the rental, with every tap recorded. These cards are separate from your hotel's room keys. Guests who prefer their phone scan the cart's QR code in your app.

Can golf cart rentals go on a guest's room bill?

No. Axons Mobility does not connect to hotel booking or billing systems, so rides cannot be added to a room bill. Instead, make rides free for guests, invite them with starting credit, or let them pay in your app by card or wallet, straight into your own Stripe account.

How do we keep guests from driving golf carts off the property?

Draw a service area around the grounds and no-go zones over roads, beaches or private areas. A guest who leaves the service area or enters a no-go zone is warned straight away, and every breach is recorded so you can replay it. Staff can also lock a cart or end its rental from the live map, where the cart's device allows.

How long does it take to launch guest golf carts with Axons Mobility?

Your console and a private guest fleet are ready within one working day. Going live with guests takes as little as 3 weeks: our team builds your branded app, Apple and Google review it, and your carts join as soon as their devices are connected. A new kind of device adds the time our team needs to connect it.

How much does resort golf cart rental software cost?

Axons Mobility costs $499 a month with 25 vehicles, 1,000 transactions and 500 new riders included, then $4 a month for each vehicle above 25, with a $1,500 setup fee once at the start. Above the plan, small per-transaction and new-rider charges apply as your business grows, and add-ons are priced separately. Your quote shows every rate before you sign. Our team sets up a free 15-day trial on your own carts.
