Fleet Software Pricing in 2026: What 19 Platforms Charge

By Harshitha Shivakoti, Technical Writing Team · · Updated · Launch & Growth · 7 min read

The short answer

On 4 October 2026 we checked what 19 sharing and rental software platforms publish as prices on their own websites. Of 13 scooter, bike and car sharing platforms, 8 publish any price and only 4 publish both a per-vehicle fee and a setup fee or contract term. Published per-vehicle fees for micromobility run from $3 to about $19 a month, with a median of about $9; published setup fees run from $2,000 to about $44,900, and most platforms offer a demo rather than a free trial.

Software is one of the few costs in a sharing or rental business you can compare before you commit, but only if the prices are public. On 4 October 2026 we read the pricing pages of 19 platforms: 13 built for scooter, bike, moped and car sharing, and 6 booking tools used by rental shops, including golf cart rentals. These are the numbers they publish, what they leave out, and what to ask before you sign.

How many fleet software platforms publish their prices?

14 of the 19 platforms publish at least one price. The gap is in sharing software: 8 of the 13 sharing platforms show a price, and 5 show no figures at all and ask you to book a demo or contact sales. All 6 rental and booking tools publish theirs.

A published price is not always a full price. Only 4 of the 13 sharing platforms publish both a per-vehicle fee and a setup fee or contract term. Two publish only a starting monthly minimum, with the rest left to a quote.

How much is the per-vehicle fee?

For scooters, bikes and mopeds, published per-vehicle fees run from $3 to about $19 a month, with a median of about $9. That median is taken over the cheapest published tier of each product line. Car sharing costs more: the highest published rate we found is about $41 per car per month. One sharing platform's golf cart line charges about $29 per cart per month, billed yearly.

Per-vehicle rates usually fall as the fleet grows. Several platforms publish three tiers, each a dollar or two cheaper per vehicle than the one before, in return for a larger minimum fleet.

What monthly minimums do platforms charge?

Most sharing platforms charge a monthly minimum, and for a small fleet it matters more than the per-vehicle rate. Published minimums run from $250 to about $13,360 a month, and most sit between about $550 and $900. Check how many vehicles the minimum covers, because a 20-vehicle pilot can pay the same as a 100-vehicle fleet.

What setup fees should you expect?

Published setup fees for sharing platforms run from $2,000 to about $44,900. At the low end, the fee usually covers configuring your workspace and your branded rider app. At the high end it is a project, often paired with a long contract. One more platform says it charges a setup fee upfront but does not publish the amount. Rental booking tools are cheaper to start: $0 to $249.

Ask what the setup fee includes: the branded app in both app stores, connecting your vehicles, importing riders, and training. Some platforms also charge a one-off fee for each new kind of vehicle or device they connect.

Can you try before you pay?

Rarely, for sharing software. Of the 13 sharing platforms, one offers a free 30-day pilot, one has a free plan for fleets under 10 vehicles, and one runs a paid pilot of about $14,000. The rest offer a demo or a sales call. Rental booking tools are more open: 3 of the 6 offer a free trial of 7 to 14 days.

A demo shows the software working on someone else’s data. A trial on your own vehicles shows how it handles your streets, your riders and your devices, which is what you are really buying.

Do platforms sell their own hardware?

Three of the sharing platforms sell their own vehicles or IoT devices, and only one publishes a device price. Others work with devices from other makers. If a platform sells hardware, ask whether the software still works if you switch devices later, because a platform tied to its own hardware is harder to leave.

What should you ask before you sign?

  • What is the monthly minimum, and how many vehicles does it cover?
  • What is the per-vehicle fee at your fleet size, and when does it change?
  • Is there a setup fee, and exactly what does it include?
  • Is there a fee per ride, per booking or a share of revenue?
  • How long is the contract, and what is the notice period?
  • Can you try it free on your own vehicles first?
  • Does it work with the devices you already have?

How we collected these numbers

We read each platform’s own pricing page, or its home page when there was no pricing page, on 4 October 2026. “Not published” means the figure was not on those pages. Euro prices are converted at the European Central Bank reference rate of 2 October 2026 (1 EUR = 1.1225 USD). The 19 platforms are a hand-picked set of the ones that come up most when operators search for this software, so the medians describe this set, not the whole market. We do not name the platforms because we compete with several of them; the figures are theirs. Prices change often, so check each vendor’s page before you decide.

Where does Axons Mobility fit?

Axons Mobility publishes its full price: $499 a month with 25 vehicles, 1,000 transactions and 500 new riders included, then $4 a month for each vehicle above 25, with a one-off $1,500 setup fee, and the contract is monthly — cancel any time. A 100-vehicle fleet pays $799 a month on the plan. Above the plan, small per-transaction and new-rider charges apply as your business grows, and add-ons are priced separately. Your quote shows every rate before you sign.

That puts the per-vehicle fee below the published median and the setup fee below the published range for sharing platforms. Axons Mobility sells no hardware: it works with the connected devices already on your vehicles. You can try it free for 15 days on your own vehicles, and see every rate on the pricing page.
