  • Is there a speed limit for these vehicles, and does it change by area?
  • Are there rules on rider age, helmets or other safety gear?

Once you have the answers, turn them into settings: zones for where vehicles may go, speed limits for each area and the safety checks riders must pass.

How do heat and daytime demand change operations?

Heat shapes almost every part of running a fleet in the Gulf. There are no universal numbers here, so watch your own data from the first weeks, but plan for these patterns:

  • Demand can shift to cooler hours. Evenings and early mornings may be busier than midday, and seasons can change demand a lot. Plan vehicle positions and staff shifts around the hours people actually ride.
  • Batteries need care. Store and charge batteries in shaded or cooled spaces, let hot batteries cool before charging, and follow the maker’s guidance on temperature.
  • Charging at night. Cooler hours are often the better time for field staff to collect, swap or charge.
  • Shaded parking. Where you can, place parking zones in shade, so vehicles and handlebars stay cooler for the next rider.
  • Staff welfare. Field teams working outside need breaks, water and shifts planned around the heat.

How do zones handle pedestrian areas?

Promenades, mall entrances, community parks and busy walkways are where riders and pedestrians meet. Zones let you set what vehicles do in those areas without relying on riders to remember the rules.

  • Let friends and families ride together with group rides, each vehicle billed separately.
